Robert Halfyard

Our Founder & CEO, Robert Halfyard is an experienced Executive Safety Consultant leading both Corporate Teams within various industries for over 35 years. Roberts experience is also coupled by his years of experience as Fire Department Captain and Deputy Fire Inspection Officer for Wellesley Township. During his career with Wellesley Township, Robert conducted extensive training and coaching to Fire Fighters in the use of Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus, Auto Extrication and Casualty Care.

Robert also worked in the Construction sector as a Heavy Equipment Operator, Site Supervisor and Safety Manager gaining invaluable knowledge in Construction safety and the Occupational Health & Safety Act.

As the Corporate Director of Safety & Compliance for the largest privately owned Transportation Company in Canada, Robert designed, developed, implemented and managed the training programs and curriculum, which included theory, practical and simulation, that exceeded industry standards.

Robert has also trained numerous trainers over his decades of involvement and has been recognized by industry to speak at conventions and symposiums on various subjects.

Throughout his careers, Robert successfully achieved several qualifications including training and performance standards in several areas and holds two trade certifications as recognized under the College of Trades.

Robert’s certifications include;
CPO Approved Working At Heights Instructor, Accident Investigator, Certified Coaching Practitioner,
WSIB Approved First-Aid, CPR & AED Instructor, Heavy Equipment Operator, Certified Driver Trainer, Certified Forklift Instructor, Transportation of Dangerous Goods Instruction along with 2 trade certifications with actual hands on experience give him the competence qualifications to design, lead and conduct numerous subjects in the noted business sectors.

 

Linda Frye

Linda Frye our Vice-President of the company, holds several designations, CHRL, CPM, CCP,CMP along with deep background in employee development and training and also holds an Adult Education Degree. Linda assists with program development and monitoring of training programs to ensure the highest compliance with governing bodies such as Federal Labour Standards, OHSA, WSIB and CHRC.

The companies training programs meet standards under Federal and Provincial Health & Safety requirements and have been developed either in house and reviewed by appropriate bodies or purchased existing programs that meet the requirements. All of our instructors are fully vetted and have real world experience in their areas of expertise. Regular monitoring and evaluation to ensure they are utilizing the proper course curriculum and materials are conducted.

Our In-House Train the Trainer programs meet the same stringent requirements as our other programs and are consistently reviewed and edited to ensure the latest information and techniques are relayed to our customers that we have previously trained. Our Train the Trainer Courses are intended to be used for in house instruction of specific programs, not for use to train the general public outside of the Trainers organization.

Rodney M. Orr CDS

Rodney has lifelong experience in Transportation Safety. For over 45 years Rodney has been in and around transportation from driving all the way to management.

Rodney is a Certified Director of Safety, Certified Commercial Driving Instructor, TSA Accident Investigator, Dangerous Goods Instructor, Lift Truck Operator Trainer and several other accreditations from North American Transportation Management Institute, University of Central Florida and Canadian Institute of Traffic and Transportation.

Rodney currently holds a Class ABM driver’s license with Air Brake endorsement. Rodney was also selected by the Ontario Trucking Association to represent the industry as a OTA Road Knight.

 

Allan Babin

Allan served in the Canadian Forces retiring at the rank of Petty Officer 2nd Class. During his career he served operationally along with being a Recruit Instructor, Weapons Instructor, Drill Instructor, First Aid Instructor and Trades Instructor.
After retiring Allan worked in the Public Sector ultimately entering the Transportation Sector as a Professional Driver. His skills evolved to being an Instructor of numerous Sector specific courses including Professional Driver Trainer, Transportation Dangerous Goods Instructor, Hours of Service, Defensive Driving Instructor and LCV Instructor.
Allan’s abilities have resulted in him being a Training & Development Manager for a large National Carrier and Health & Safety Manager for 3 different large National Carriers.
Allan sought out other courses focusing on Construction Occupational Health & Safety. This allowed him to utilize his experience as an instructor/trainer to continue sharing knowledge with those within Construction, Transportation, Manufacturing and Warehousing.
Allan has also worked as a Health & Safety Manager for a Heavy Construction Companies operating in South Western Ontario.

 

Carolyn Burke OHS, NCSO-Safety Professional

Carolyn comes to us from the Oil, Gas & Mining industry.

A safety professional, Carolyn has gained extensive experience and certifications, the focus of her professional service has been in Occupational Health and Safety and safety training. She has ample experience facilitating various safety courses and mentoring on legislative topics, evaluating, and offering recommendations. She has worked in both federal and provincial government departments and community colleges along with privately-owned companies in the construction and manufacturing industries. Through these relationships, she developed & strongly contributed to the Internal Responsibility System.
